 Terms & Conditions – Laptop Repairs, IT Services & Data Recovery

1. Scope of Services

Dialtech provides professional laptop and desktop repairs, IT support, device setup, and data recovery services across Adelaide for both individuals and businesses. By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms.

2. Diagnostics & Estimates

  • A diagnostic fee may apply where no immediate fix is possible.
     
  • Estimates are based on known or reported issues. If additional faults are discovered, customers will be contacted before continuing.
     
  • No repairs will proceed without client consent.
     

3. Laptop & Computer Repairs

  • Dialtech will repair or replace faulty components using either new or refurbished parts, depending on availability.
     
  • A 30-day warranty applies to all installed parts and workmanship unless otherwise stated.
     
  • Warranties do not cover physical damage, liquid spills, tampering, or misuse after return.
     

4. Data Recovery Services

  • Dialtech offers non-invasive and invasive data recovery from hard drives, SSDs, USBs, and other storage devices.
     
  • Data recovery is not guaranteed. Recovery success depends on the extent and nature of the damage.
     
  • A “No Data – No Fee” policy applies only if stated prior to the recovery attempt.
     
  • Clients are encouraged to back up data before any service.
     
  • Recovered data will be stored securely for up to 7 days, then permanently deleted unless otherwise requested.
     

5. Data Privacy & Confidentiality

  • All client data is treated as strictly confidential. Dialtech will not view, share, or copy your files unless required for service or by law.
     
  • Data is only accessed as necessary to complete the requested recovery or migration.
     
  • Dialtech will not be held liable for loss of any sensitive or confidential information during service.
     

6. Liability Limitations

  • While all care is taken, Dialtech is not liable for any loss of data, financial loss, downtime, or indirect damages resulting from:
     
    • Failed repairs
       
    • Data not recoverable
       
    • Existing hardware failure or unrepairable issues
       
  • Client agrees that service is undertaken at their own risk, particularly in cases involving pre-damaged, water-damaged, or failing hardware.
     

7. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is due upon completion of services and before any device or recovered data is returned.
     
  • Payment methods accepted: cash, bank transfer, or other agreed options.
     
  • Recovery media (e.g. USB drive) must be supplied by the client or purchased separately.
     

8. Uncollected Items

Devices or data not collected within 30 days may be considered abandoned and will be securely disposed of or recycled.

9. Service Area

On-site services are available across Adelaide and nearby suburbs. Clients must provide safe and appropriate access to premises and equipment.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia. Any disputes will be resolved through local jurisdiction.
